My Team

It has been an incredible journey for me with Life Story Therapies since founding it in 2015. Now, after working solo for so long, 2026 is the year I get to introduce you to my team!

Mary Talbot – Third Culture Kid & Associate Coach

I was born in rural England. In early childhood, my family moved to South Africa, first to Johannesburg and then to Durban, before returning to the UK a few years later. Each move brought new schools, caregivers, and routines. At six years old, I attended my mother’s school class with my two younger siblings, who were twins; at ten years old, I was the only day girl at a boys’ prep school.

At thirteen, I moved again, to a girls’ public school, and the family home changed as well. For my A-levels, I chose a co-ed grammar school. I then studied for a degree, followed by nine years on the Sussex coast, where I married and completed a master’s degree. My husband and I then moved to Germany, his home country, where we lived for five years, and two of our three children were born.

We returned to England and settled in a rural village, where we stayed for fourteen years — the longest I had lived anywhere — and where our children grew up. In the years that followed, our family circumstances changed. I moved to a nearby town, and later spent a year in Cornwall. During that time, I also looked after my partner through a sudden illness and subsequent death.

I now live in the same English village where my children grew up.

My background includes experiences of loss in different forms: relocations and the loss of homes and friendships during childhood, changes in family structure, and the death of my partner as an adult. These experiences inform my work as a certified Life Coach specialising in Grief and Post Traumatic Growth.

I work with clients processing grief related to any kind of loss — the death of a person, the end of a relationship, a change in life stage, or the loss of a home, community, or identity. Sessions focus on post traumatic growth: looking at where a client is now, what has changed, and what choices remain available for moving forward.

I provide a space to process the experience, identify existing strengths and resources, and develop a plan for next steps. The aim is not only to help clients manage their loss, but to support them in moving forward — drawing on their own strengths, sense of direction, and purpose.

Lindsay Linder – Communications Associate

Hi, I’m Lindsay, Communications Associate for Life Story Therapies. I’m all about helping people and organisations tell their stories in a way that is authentic, people centred, and genuinely connecting.

I’ve spent years working across both the public and private sectors at both strategic and operational levels. I’m an experienced business owner, coach and associate lecturer in leadership and management. What that’s given me is a real knack for understanding not just what needs to be communicated, but the deeper processes and people behind it.

At my core, I’m client focused, practical, and honest. I love making the connections that matter and helping organisations grow with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.

At Life Story Therapies, I support Rachel’s approach by helping keep clients connected, informed, and engaged – making sure our communications feel warm, accessible, and true to who we are.
